The handmade paper project was inspired by the previous creative photography project where I used the light in one of the photos. On the other hand, I recreated “the alef” from the book of Borges, where he described the alef as a cercle that he saw everything in it similarly to the box that I made, it has a hole in it that let us see the handmade paper that has the shape of an egg, the egg that is one main ingredient that I use for baking.
Borges had to be in a specific position to be able to see “the alef where he had to go down the cellar in a complete darkness and lie on the floor: “From the floor, you must focus your eyes on the nineteenth step. Once I leave you, I’ll lower the trapdoor and you’ll be quite alone. You needn’t fear the rodents very much though I know you will. In a minute or two, you’ll see the Aleph” similar to the box I created in addition, I put inside the box 2 mirrors that reflects the paper and also makes infinity of reflections by putting them in a way that the mirrors reflect each other and make infinity of reflections, the same where Borges said that the encyclopedia had infinity of copies and compared them to mirrors and the Mise en abime. In addition, I made paper from egg shells where I made a transfer using the acrylic medium and put in in the pulp that is the recipe of the eggshell handmade paper.
